The experience that awaits you
Discover an authentic experience where plants medicine meet cultural immersion.
Deep in Brazil's state of Acre, our travel goes beyond traditional ayahuasca retreats. This is a unique opportunity to live within a community of native people and learn their ancestral knowledge directly from the source.
Unlike conventional retreats that isolate participants in predetermined locations, we integrate you into daily village life. You'll experience sacred plant medicine ceremonies guided by traditional healers, learn ancestral practices, and participate in community activities. This transformative journey invites you to step into a world where nature is not just observed, but deeply honored and understood through indigenous eyes.

Plants medicine of the Amazon

For millennia, the Amazon's indigenous peoples have cultivated a relationship with sacred plant medicines. At the heart of Huni Kuin tradition lies ayahuasca, a powerful medicine known for its transformative properties. During your stay, you'll participate in traditional ceremonies guided by experienced healers who also work with other sacred medicines like hapé, hãpaya, and sananga, each offering unique healing properties and insights into indigenous wisdom.
Meet the Huni Kuin people

Deep in the Amazon rainforest, the Huni Kuin people have preserved their profound connection to nature for countless generations. They are master healers and guardians of sacred plant medicine traditions. Today, these remarkable indigenous people maintain their ancestral ways despite challenges.
Our travels are designed to be more than ayahuasca retreats. They offer an immersion into the ancient ways of living in the forest, far away from the dominant culture.
We are committed to support the Huni Kuin financially to help with community projects and ensure their voices reach the wider world. The price of our guided travels includes direct donation to the community. By participating, you help protecting not only a culture, but also a piece of humanity's heritage.
What is included?

The following is included in the price:
- Travel from Rio Branco, Brazil, to the Huni Kuin community
- Food and accomodation in the community
- Ayahuasca ceremonies and use of plants medicine
- Direct financial support for the community
- 3 group integration calls after the travel
Anything else is at your own expense (travel to Rio Branco, specific dietary needs, direct support of the Huni Kuin community by buying craft). There is no Wi-Fi and limited signal, but we recommend you to get a Brazilian SIM card nonetheless.
Who is it for?

This immersive experience trades modern luxuries for genuine cultural connection. You'll live as the community does, sleeping in traditional hammocks and sharing meals of local staples like manioc, rice, and fresh-caught fish. This authentic approach creates lasting memories and deep understanding of indigenous life.
We welcome participants from all backgrounds and walks of life. However, this experience requires careful consideration of physical capabilities, as the rainforest environment lacks modern accessibility infrastructure. Due to the potent nature of ayahuasca, we discourage individuals with serious mental health conditions, including psychosis and personality disorders, to participate. Please review our medical guidelines page for detailed health and safety information.
